You literally have to walk on a beaten path to get to this place. Eating inside has an entirely different feel than eating outside. Your call on what works for you. We ate inside with white table cloths. There are some goods and greats about this place. The service was good, but we got rushed and then ignored. The menu is good so long as they can get fresh fish for all the menu items. 2 of our first choices were not available. The wine list was very good and the food was great. If you like spice, the spices shrimp stands up to its name. And if you like truffles, so does the truffle ravioli. The waiter was ver knowledgeable but seemed very busy all night.
We went on the recommendation of our hotel staff. Originally we tried on Saturday night and both the restaurant & terrace area were fully booked, they were able to reserve a table for Sunday night (don’t leave organising a booking too late as you might miss out).
All of the staff were warm and welcoming, in particular Helena and Goran. We ordered Beef carpaccio/Tuna tartare, and marinated sea bass for entrees then Sea bream with truffles and spaghetti with small clams/shrimp for mains with a lemon sorbet to cleanse our palates. All of which we washed down with a Radovan Malvazija . The seafood was fresh and delicious.
I’m glad that we were able to get a booking as it was worth the wait and price.
The place is really nice and quiet. Loved the atmosphere and the decoration of the place.

I wished I could stay longer in Rovinj, but yea my time was up!
I highly recommend the place for food, romantic atmosphere and also for an excellent service and treatment!
Hopefully will visit again some day and try more food from Giannino.

Truffed ravioli still waters my mouth when I imagine that night. We were directed not to order more since the seafood plate was already big enough. They were right. Unfortunately, my mind still goes what I couldn’t eat.
I come to Rovinj every year during summer for 3 months. Every Monday evening I dine at the beautiful restaurant. The food is the best in Rovinj, they specialize in seafood, with so much care for the ingredients. The total dining experience, wich includes the food, wine, ambiance are perfect. But what brings me back everytime is the hospitality, the hostess Helena is always friendly and helpful. All the staff needs to be mentioned, you guys are the best. I hope this place never changes!!!!

We tried without a reservation and were lucky, given a place inside and must admit preferred it. Food was great very fish oriented but happy with that
